Product: 0131478230 One can read this book cover to cover, but it equally impressive as a reference. I find myself constantly going back to it for commands and shell programming references. If you are afraid of the command line, then get this book and learn. Rating: 5 0131478230 Count: 46

Product: Running Linux No one book could cover all the aspects of Linux 1 person might be interested in. There are just too many uses, applications, contexts that relate to Linux. This book does the best job possible, though, to give you a good overview with just enough details to get you up and running. Its a great reference book, especially once you start learning to read man pages and the internet as an accompaniment to the book… Rating: 4 156592469X Count: 20

Product: LINUX: The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide! Reading this book will not make you pro in Linux programming, you must practice and must understand every step. You will get to know many basic instructions and commands of Linux. This book is good for everyone who want to learn this programming. It was very interesting to know how it operates and how we can play with this program. But I found this book is just good for beginners not for advanced level.

Product: 1592007287 The book was not bad. Readable, made clear concepts that might not be intuitive, and concise when it counted. Most importantly, it sticks pretty close to the agenda for the Linux+ Comptia test. I haven’t taken the test yet so, we’ll see. This is one of about 4 or 5 books I’ve used to study for Linux certifications. I wasn’t certain which Linux cert. I wanted to take. Actually my preference is the Redhat RHCE but, that’s expensive and tough compared to Linux+ from what I’ve learned.

Product: Linux (Hacking Exposed) This is a book that I always been searching for. A good technical book. Before this, there is always books telling theories and all of that non techie things. But as as administrators/engineers/professionals, WE do don’t that. A good book to learn, understand, planning, deploy and managing Linux in the network. Rating: 5 0072127732 Count: 10

Product: UNIX and Linux System Administration Handbook I was chasing this book since the 3rd edition, but I was discouraged by the price and the fact that I don’t work with so many flavors of Unix/Linux but, when I saw this 4th edition at so good price in amazon I just couldn’t resist any more. This book is really a fantastic work and a Must Have for Sysadmins, so I recommended it to a friend that also loved it since day one.

Product: 0470343435 Love it ! The content is very clear and effective, but the page is too thin and coarse. Some chapters like VFS are even much better than Understanding the Linux Kernel. Rating: 5 0470343435 Count: 7
