Product: 1518684777 I like this RASPBERRY PI book, because it intent to promote the teaching of basic in schools and developing countries. And also it include the same Video Core IV graphics processing unit (GPU) and either a single-core ARMv6-compatible CPU or a newerARMv7 compatible quad-core one (in Pi 2) and not just that also the Foundation provides Debian and Arch Linux ARM distributions for download and I think they promotes Python as the main programming language.

Product: 1784392537 This book contains a lot of great information for ‘embedded’ programmers. From toolchain selection to real-time programming, the author takes the reader through a list of relevant topics and offers sound advice. It’s clear the author has mastered the topic, he shares the knowledge freely. A lot of the material is expert level, but there is plenty here for b-flat Linux programmers with an interest in embedded programming. Topics include kernel issues, threading and processes, use of GDB, and more.

Product: 1593277938 This is an interesting and practical book in the acquisition, management and preservation of disk images for digital evidence. It is also a technical procedural guide to using the Linux platform and open-source solutions for forensic image acquisition and evidence preservation. The author does a great job of organizing the subject matters into a logical progression from setting up a platform, planning and preparations, acquisition to post acquisition activities.

Product: 1590596277 Keir Thomas puts everything you need to get started with the distribution of Linux getting the most press these days all in one handy tome. All you’ll need is a decent computer, the software, and you’re set! The book’s chapters - 34 in all - deal with the various aspects of installing/configuring, using and personalizing Ubuntu for your tastes. Stating true to the political slant of most open source and Linux advocates, the book spares no expense when taking potshots at rival Microsoft and denouncing the company’s operating system and Windows’ implied failure to live up to its billing as a high-performance, stable, secure operating system.

Product: 0066620732 The book is fun to read for the easy and informal style in which it is written. It is mostly about how Linux came about being what it is today. It is not about technical details of Linux, and the few technical things in there are very sketchy. The best part of the book is the honesty with which Linus describes everything. Linus expresses his (decisive) opinions regarding a whole lot of stuff - Mach microkernel, Java, Netscape-Mozilla project, Apple+SteveJobs, Sun+BillJoy etc.

Product: 0071767584 This book has no fluff. The Author dives right into Linux Administration. This book in spite of it being ‘filled’ with formula and commentary is not dry. It is an enjoyable read! The author is clear on each point and you won’t be left to fiend for yourself on subjects in this book. I would give this book 10 stars if I could. The only problem I have with the book is the continual mention of Windows which is understandable for those coming from a Windows background, however, some of us could care less how Windows does things.
