Product: 1119188687 This book does what it claims to well HOWEVER be warned that, if you are expecting low-level hardware details you will be somewhat disappointed. As it promises in the title, everything is from a LinuxOS POV. Rating: 4 1119188687 Count: 10

Product: 1849694605 Well there was some, albeit practical, nonsense. The author insists that you should have a case for your Raspberry Pi - and I agree. Without one, you are very likely to short the thing out at some point and render it useless. So to that end there is a small section in the book that tells you how to make one. Out of paper. Sweet. The preface clearly states that this book is not aimed at the casual hobbyist or those using the Raspberry Pi as the learning tool that it was intended as.

Product: 0764549685 I was here looking for when the next edition of the Red Hat Linux Bible would release - because I faithfully buy the updated version that Chris Negus writes - and noticed some reviews saying they did not like this book. I have to throw in my 2 cents because I completely disagree. This book is by far the most comprehensive and helpful coverage on Red Hat Linux 8.

Product: 0764205579 The Hidden Flame is the second installment in Davis Bunn and Janette Oke’s co-written New Testament times historical fiction series Acts of Faith. In the first book, The Centurion’s Wife, we were brought into the mystery and contention surrounding Christ’s death and resurrection as the Roman centurion (the fictionalized Alban) who believed in Jesus for the healing of his servant wed Leah (Pontius Pilate’s fictionalized adopted niece). The Hidden Flame picks up the New Testament seamlessly, and we re-enter the story at the wedding feast of Alban and Leah.

Product: 159327257X Though I don’t think I qualify completely as a non-geek, I found this title both informative and enjoyable. Though pretty adept and comfortable in my Windows existence, I have long wanted to dabble around in Linux. I have heard of Ubuntu, but never had done anything with it until coming across Grant’s title. I was pleasantly surprised by both the book and the installation CD included. Grant writes with a friendly, conversational style; including periodic tongue-in-cheek comments which I like.

Product: Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything The theme of this book is simple enough to understand and clearly stated at the beginning of the book: More minds and new technologies are allowing more people to share information and ideas, collaborate and innovate in ways the world has never seen, all of which will lead to more rapid and innovate change in the way we live our lives and interact with each other.
