Product: 1894953479 In this book, Snyder succeeds in making zombies (both human and animal) wickedly funny–no matter how jaded you are by cries of ‘Braaaaaaaaaaaains!!!’ Either this book will make you laugh out loud at least once, or you should consider having yourself checked for signs of death. Snyder’s work first came to my attention when the cover story, ‘Installing Linux on a Dead Badger’ was submitted to SFF webzine Strange Horizons, where I was then an articles editor.

Product: 0131488724 You can figure out most of what this book talks about by doing simple trial and error. The version the book contains is old…not the books fault….but let me tell you something about Linux. WIFI SUCKS with linux. Its more secure and its a new thing to mess around with and explore and all that, but there is a huge reason why microsoft is bitchslapping every other company around.

Product: 0130084662 This book was a gift for my son in CA who works for Yahoo. He actually had the book on his Wish List at the top! He received it for his December birthday, and loves it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has it on the plane he and his wife are in, heading for a week in Thailand. It was Greek to me, but he loves it! Rating: 5 0130084662 Count: 19

Product: LINUX: The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide! Linux: the Ultimate Beginner’s Guide by Andrew Johansen is a great playbook for picking up arguably one of the most important operating systems out there. This is a great start-to-finish roadmap with huge practical application. I highly recommend picking up a copy just to glean a basic understanding of it. Rating: 5 1519453477 Count: 34

Product: 1593270364 This book covers the material thoroughly. It’s detailed, specific and the writing style is among the more pleasant I’ve encountered in a technical book of this sort. In its day this was probably THE book to have on the subject of clustering Linux servers. Unfortunately, it seems to have been published just ahead of the arrival of heartbeat version 2. Version 2 of heartbeat still supports the kinds of configurations demonstrated in this book, but it has grown vastly more capable, and also significantly more complex; this book will not help you with that.

Product: 151182607X This is an excellent book for beginners to learn Linux commands. There has a lot of examples through which I was able to practice the commands and learned how to act with Linux commands. The step by step lessons made me comfortable to learn Linux. The chapters are well organized and efficiently written by the author. It is the guide where I found the commands for shortcut keys, various operation commands and many more essential info.
