Product: 1518684777 This ebook contains numerous technical errors, over-generalizations and typos. If it were correct, it would have taken the user to the point where they have a Linux system on the Raspberry Pi, and know a very little about what to do with it. There were no details about how to use any of the components that make this a revolutionary device. There was no mention of non-Linux operating systems that can be used on the Raspberry Pi.

Product: 0131861506 This is a great book even though it was published in 2005. I was trying to set up an open sshd server and access it from other computers on my home network. I reviewed several newer books that gave some of the theory and the go path for setup and use, but none of them offered any advice on what to look for if things didn’t work. This book offered those troubleshooting hints and advice, and I soon solved my problem (a dumb mistake on my part) thanks to the book’s suggestion.

Product: How Linux Works This is a very good introduction into Linux system understanding. I am not near the Superuser status but I am learning. There is much in this book that I will need to reread, review and explore more. This is a very digestible book and an eye opener on just how much I need to learn. Highly recommend this for anyone to increase their knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Product: 0071545883 Arrived quickly and in fantastic condition. Very good glimpse into the world of Linux administration. It also came with unopened Red Hat CD and the book is in new condition. I have played with Linux Distro’s for years and usually liked them, but really did not know very much yet. Rating: 5 0071545883 Count: 17

Product: 0596002130 There are too many details accumulated together which makes a fresh reader who wants to know more about Linux always confused. There are a lot of space to improve so that the book is more easily to be read. For example, give high idea first, and then illustrate details one by one. If you are new to Linux kernels, the book is not good at all. Rating: 1 0596002130 Count: 17

Product: 1517392772 The book’s purpose is to teach you how to use the command line and so is designed to be read in order. It is not really intended as a reference book and so does not contain an exhaustive reference of every command and what can be done with it but it does tell you how to use the reference material built into Linux that will provide you with that information.
