It covers things that make using your Pi easier, to outlandish (waterproof your Pi), impractical (use a Raspberry Pi for geocaching), and fun. The book itself is well written and easy to read. Even if you don’t try most of the projects, you will very likely pick up useful tips from reading about them.

Product: 0619130040 I am a beginner in Linux. I bought several Linux textbooks for my Linux examination preparation. Someone recommends LPI for me. However if Linux+ is equal to LPI level one. Why I do not choose Linux+? Linux+ seems much well organized in structure. You do not need to memorize a lot of options / arguments which can be easily found from Goolge. I also took local classes. To be honest, this book is simple to understand than my teacher notes.

Product: 151182607X One of my friends that runs Linux asked me to read this book so I could understand what he was talking about. I can honestly say I have never used Linux before and was extremely confused by the things my friend would try to talk about, this book has cleared up a lot of my confusion. It is written with the layman in mind and teaches you the basics on how to get started with Linux.

Product: 1517392772 I am used to using Windows as the OS of my pc but I’ve heard that Linux is a good OS too, so I downloaded this book to get a grasp on its features. This books explanation convince me to try Linux as an OS. It has more advantages than Windows but I am new to this OS and I would probably re-read this book and apply the executable commands stated in this book.

Product: 111846446X Very helpful item. No of course we wouldn’t expect this book to just automatically come with a 25-35 dollar Rasberry Pi. The whole concept of the Pi is to keep costs down for the millions of creative souls in the whole world. This book is quite helpful and definite worth buying. Found the best price here on Amazon. And wish we had even more info in written form out there.

Product: UNIX and Linux System Administration Handbook I looked at a lot of Linux books before purchasing this one. I am not saying that this is the ultimate one for your need, but this is honestly a great book on Linux and Unix Administration. This book covers a lot of information including installing Linux, file formats, building software, the kernel, boot loaders, virtualization, (including much much more). Product: 151182607X Linux is not new for me, but often me or people on my professional team need to look up for some help. my problem is that i need people on my team to have more than basic knowledge of linux. even though i have very talented people, most of the people just familiar with windows or apple os. i purchased this book as a tool for my professional team and its exactly what i expected.
