Product: 0764205579 I started reading this book with mild expectations. Centurion’s wife was an instant favorite of mine, so I feared that I might not find the characters in this story as interesting. However, this was a great follow up. I am amazed at how Davis Bunn and Janette Oke are weaving these stories together. As the first book led to the day of Pentecost; this one dealt with the rise of persecution to the believers.

Product: 1537736892 This guidebook is well written and helpful too. By the help of this book I have learned lots of things about Linux. This is a crash course guidebook especially for the beginners. I had a huge interest to learn about Linux and from that why I purchased this book. It is true that Linux is the legendary system and error free choice for every computer user. By reading his book I have understood file systems for Linux.

Product: 1453689923 I had the opportunity to read this book over a period of 2 weeks, i have to admit the book provides an excellent number of hands on examples on setting up vital services in a Linux environment. Although it does not cover 100% details of every service it does provide a concise overview about the way service get install and manage in a Linux/Unix environment. There is always the man pages if someone requires further details about a particular concept and its options.

Product: 0470125055 This book was published in 2007, and is too far behind modern technology to be useful today. Examples: –The current release of Ubuntu is version 12.0.4. This book addresses version 6 (and includes a Live CD edition of this version). –In discussing the addition of an Ubuntu installation to a computer running Windows, the Windows operating system portions do not include any discussions of operating systems newer than Windows XP.

Product: 1494295504 I don’t know the entire background of this book (there are others who can explain it better), but as far as being an organized list of useful commands (and pretty much only the commands!) this book is a handy, quick reference guide. If you are looking for a book that teaches you Linux architecture or how to pass various Linux exams, this is NOT the book for you. However, if you want a bunch of very useful commands and tools, neatly organized in a way that makes sense this is an excellent pocket reference.

Product: 1449345379 Surprised how quick you can get your project going with this book. I am not so novice (engineer that worked with Unix and Linux for years), but I still learned things I did not know. But what’s really great, is that it’s fast… in very little time you can get started with linux, ssh, turn on LED’s, Python scripts etc… Withing 4 hours you learned all you need to get your internet controlled project started.
