Generally speaking: Book has about 80-90% of material for exam covered. Some topics require more tecnical details. This book is not for the begginers so make sure you comfortable with basics like shell and GUIs and of course general linux operativity. Exam questions are pretty tricky, it requieres lots of practice and detailed use of commands and configuration files. Books contains only useful information which is really good. I believe Mr. Smith did a great job and there will be 2nd edition with much more information covered for exam. Definitely best book for Linux+ on market. Robb Tracy’s book is good for the begginers, so if you seek Linux+ certification with zero or little experience, you might buy both. Also there is no need for LPIC-1 book purchase - it’s practically identical with Linux+.
