Product: The Linux Command Line: A Complete Introduction

I’m almost half way through this book. It’s well written and well organized. I believe when I complete it I’ll have a decent, basic understanding of Linux from which to work to improve my skills. I’ve never used a Unix distro before and only did a bit of MC6800 machine hacking for a course on microprocessors and Fortran hacking for a signals and systems course I took as an undergraduate engineering student. I’m presently learning Python, but I don’t get a sense I can quickly gain competence to do much of anything useful. I also feel like having used Microsoft products for so long, I’ve never gained much of an understanding of how computers work. I read another review of this book by someone who said it helped their hacking skills and gave them a good understanding of how computers work.
