Product: Linux for Beginners: An Introduction to the Linux Operating System and Command Line
I recently got another book by this author and loved the style. He’s really good at getting the basics of programming down for beginners and I encourage you to check out his other books too. I think there is some great information in here and it’s well laid out, I feel that as a beginner shorter books work best and this was quite succinct. I know zip about Linux but had a few questions relating to other codes and comparison and this book helped answer them, though my knowledge is limited so I think this book would be better for those with a bit more background in OS rather than web programming. I found the ‘deep dive’ parts really useful and a convenient addition if you wanted more information on the topic. This would be a good companion book to add for someone taking classes with more in depth Linux textbooks.
