I wasn’t expecting to like this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. The book presents small solutions for the kind of Linux problems that you find the answer to one week and promptly forget the next. This makes it ideal for end users like me who just need the occasional helping hand.

I’m downplaying the value of the book though. The explanations are given thorough coverage to teach you the why as much as the how.

Probably a great reference for systems administrators who work with Windows most of the time but need to administer Unix now and again. And a really nice piece of work for folks like me who just use Unix every once in a while and need some help with the commands.
