If you are planning on owning this $25 wonder, you probably realize it does not come with ANY documentation. You might be planning to just use the amazing variety of documentation in video, audio, and text form on the web. But that resource is bewildering in its vast size and uncertain quality. This is the book you want if you are just getting started with the Pi, especially if you are not fluent in Linux. The length is just right – just enough on each topic to get you ready to graduate to the riches on the web. It focuses in detail on your first few hours with the Pi – the time when you are most likely to lose heart and give up. The only thing I would add to this marvelous little volume are more pointers to web resources for the topics in each chapter and a good index.
