I teach computer programming at the university level and I think this is one of the best introductory books (for people who are not computer science majors) that I have read. The writing is clear. The organization is well thought through. The coverage is complete enough to get the absolute novice up and running (on Mac or Windows or Linux). If you are an upperclassman in high school or an undergrad who wants to use python to learn to program this is the book to get.
