Product: The Linux Command Line: A Complete Introduction
My background has been mostly with Windows Servers. My experience with Linux has been very limited, especially with the Linux command-line (bash). I’ve read many books on Linux that waste at least a chapter or two on the history of Linux and the biography of Linus Torvalds. This book is different. It jumps right into the meat of the Linux command-line.
This book is not a reference book. I suggest using this book as a text book, starting with the first chapter and continuing as you progress. I’m currently reading chapter 10 (Permissions) and I already love this book so much that I decided to write a review.
I highly recommend this book. This book is also available (for free) as a PDF file. After reading it on PDF, I’m going to order the print version because it’s worth every cent it costs.
