Loved this book! Engaging, well written, and a lot of food for thought.

As a person starting their own volunteer organization, this book provided tons of important information about what makes people tick. I’ve hopefully avoided making some very serious mistakes in how I structure things for expansion.

As a student looking into different careers, this book helped clarify why I’d been so miserable in my former lab but fairly happy where I am now. It also made me see where I can make adjustments to improve my motivation further.

As a resident of the global economy, I have to wonder about the one topic the author didn’t directly address: how is a worker supposed to earn a living in Motivation 3.0? I tip my hat to the builders of Wikipedia, Linux, and Firefox, but I can’t think of a good way for them to turn a wonderful free service into an adequate source of paychecks. Perhaps the next book.
