The author has done an excellent job getting the reader started. Full of tips, tricks, and helpful pointers, Ubuntu Linux for Non-Geeks is a hands-on, project-based, guidebook intended for those interested in switching to the Linux operating system. The book covers both wired and wireless networking, and connection to the Internet. There are many practical examples throughout the book. I particularly appreciated the command line examples in chapter eight, which cover a number of commonly-used commands in simple language.
