Product: The Linux Programming Interface: A Linux and UNIX System Programming Handbook

Enough reviews have already shown how great this book is.
I had it for a while including the other book by Stevens and Rago (Advanced Programming In the Unix Environments) – Both great books. However, I need to pick one of the books for a class that I’m teaching. This is a programming class that concentrates in C and Unix/Linux Operating System. After carefully looking at both, I really like the way that Kerrisk explains the concepts, not only to me, but how I see the students will respond to it. I also like that it is very straightforward when it comes to the students to work with the code that is provided. They are both great book and I’m not saying that this is better or wist, but for my needs, I think it was a better choice for teaching. Of course, many other people have used APUE for teaching but it is fine.
