Product: Linux Bible

Comprehensive introduction to Linux with uses latest versions of Red Hat Enterprise and Fedora to demonstrate examples with mentions of Ubuntu here and there. Understandable since the author works at Red Hat so probably a slight bias because of it.
Covers just about everything you’d ever want to know about Linux and more so you’ll most likely end up using this as a reference book than something you read from start to finish.
Some of the features that stood out and I really like are:
Points out differences between RHE (Red Hat Enterprise) and Fedora and useful graphical utilities included with each version
Exercises at end of chapters to test your understanding and best of all answers are included to all questions, unlike most books, that only answer ever other question or make you look up answers on web
Covers some of the new cloud and virtualization features I was most interested in since I already have a pretty good understanding of the basics of Linux
Some things I found lacking or missing:
Complete coverage of accessing shared Linux folders from Windows machines which the author even admits isn’t covered completely and provides a web link for further info. Try connecting to a Linux share using one of the latest versions of Windows 8 or 10, which by default uses a Microsoft account i.e. Hotmail/Live account, for example and it’s ridiculous how difficult it is to find an answer on how to this successfully!

Overall, great book to have if you are serious about Linux administration or just using Linux as a power user. Also, keep in mind that most of what is covered is focused on the command line i.e. terminal as that is the only way to access the full power of Linux since any command can be accessed using that whereas sometimes there is no graphical utility or tool available. So if you are more of a visual learner and don’t like using the command line you won’t like this book and Id say you probably won’t end up liking Linux overall.
