This book has helped me a lot since I started learning, and I will continue to use this book in the future. This book gives definitions of the basic commands you will use In Linux to give you an idea of how and why its used. It does a good job of being straightforward with instructing you from the examples given to help you learn it naturally compared to a regular textbook. Its a good tool for starters, so I would pick it up when you get the chance.
