I don’t know the entire background of this book (there are others who can explain it better), but as far as being an organized list of useful commands (and pretty much only the commands!) this book is a handy, quick reference guide. If you are looking for a book that teaches you Linux architecture or how to pass various Linux exams, this is NOT the book for you. However, if you want a bunch of very useful commands and tools, neatly organized in a way that makes sense this is an excellent pocket reference. I can already see that this book is going to live in my work bag any time I need to work on a client’s machine.
