Product: How Linux Works

I am dinosaur with close to 40 yrs IT experience, working on mainframe, midrange and Wintel. I bought my first PC in 1986 because I saw it was the future. I have been toying with Linux for a number of years and managed to work my way past a couple of issues on my own, especially nVidia graphics cards. Now that I am retired, decided to get serious with Linux rather than go forward with yet another Windows version than won’t run my older applications and peripherals. I was struggling with Linux on where things were located/kept and how the OS works from a conceptual perspective. This book answered all my questions. It continues to be a good reference for me. It was money well spent. Because, in part, of this book, my new Linux server and desktop are now up and running the way I want them.
